MALABAR REVOLT - A REVOLT TURNED TO ANARCHISM AGAINST HINDU PEOPLE OF MALABAR DUE TO THEIR LACK OF UNITY

After reading this article you may label me as an extremist, this article is not to hurt any particular community. If you feel like that it is coincidental.
This article is about Malabar Rebellion or Mappila uprising in Malabar region of Madras state of british India (Now In Kerala State). In historic point of view this is the uprising of Mappilas (Muslims of Malabar Region) against the British authorities and Hindu land lords under the movement of Khilafat in Ernad ,Valluvanad regions of Malabar district for sixth moths from august 1921. The rebellion extended over around half of the Malabar region. The prominent leaders were Variyamkunnathu Kunjahammed Haji, Ali Musliyar etc. The Kerala Government officially recognizes this rebellion as a nationalist movement.
How we could consider the movement as a nationalist movement, actually this was a rebellion turned to Jihad against Hindu or Muslim anarchists used this rebellion to commit atrocities against Hindus who they accused helping the police to suppress their rebellion
Annie Besant reported that Muslim mappilas forcibly converted many hindus and killed or drove away all hindus who would not apostatize . around 1,00000 hindus killed by mappilas, many hindu women got gang raped.
This uprising was related to Khilafat movement, Khilafat movement launched aginst British government as the cause of Abdication of the spiritual leader of muslims Khalifa in Turkey .  similar pan Islamic movements spreaded all over the world during that time. In 1920 M K Gandhi declared that his Indian National Congress and Khilafat Movement work together. These movements largely spreaded in Malabar region against Hindu landlords. At that time most of the lands were under the control of Janmis (Janmi majority is Brahmins and Namboothiris ) During 1780’s there was a group named Verumpattakkaran(mostly mappilas and thiyya community of Malabar region), they are the tenents of the land owned by high caste hindus.these lands were given a verum pattam (simple lease) of the land that was typically valid for one year.they were also entited to one third or equal shares of the net produce, the verumpattom lands were owned by the janmis, at that time somany amoralities like untouchability etc are on peak , the life status of lower caste Hindus are worst , they are brutally exploited by the land lords and their companions.
When Tipu sultan’s aggression happened during the period of 1788-1792 the land owners were forced to take refuge in neighboring state, the lands are distributed to the mappila peasants during Tippu’s aggression. After the fall of Tipu by British forces the hindus are returned to their home and regain the lands lost  during the Islamic aggression with the help of British Government
During Lease cultivation the Verumpattakkaran leaving as a straw, because the rents are as high as 75% -80% of net produce. this caused resentment among mappilas to the land lords
On 20 August 1920 the police attempted to arrest Vadakkeveettil Muhammed, the secretary of Khilafat Committee of Ernad, alleging that he stolen the pistol from a Kovilakom (Manor) in Nilambur. A crowd of mappilas from the neighborhood foiled the attempt. After that a squad of  policemen arrested a number of Khilafat Volunteers and seized the Mosque in Tirurangadi, a large crowd of mappilas besieged the police station. Police fired to the Crowd
Following the mosque incident the rebels attacked so many police stations, Government treasuries , courts etc
During the Initial stage of rebellion the British military and police forced to withdraw from the revolted areas.at the end of August British Government deployed Gurkha soldiers to the revolt spread areas.
During early phase of the rebellion the targets were primarily the Janmis and British Government. But the crimes committed by some of the rebels were accepted by leaders. After that the Malabar district faced a large anarchism. Suddenly it turned out aimed at hindus irrespective of their castes.then a horrible tragedies continued for the months in this region,Thousands of hindus Butchered , Hindu women subjected to shameful indignities, thousands of hindus forcibly converted, thousands of hindu women throwing themselves into wells to avoid dishonor.
These are happened due to the lack of Unity among the Hindu religion, they are segregated each other according to their castes, these caste system made easy to mappila anarchists for making atrocities against Hindus.
The muslims those who are not participated in the revolt and the family members of the mappila rebellion had faced another type of anarchism from British military forces, thousands of muslim women killed themselves to avoid dishonor.
At the end of 1921 the situations becomes under control, imposed a martial rule among the region , many mappila rebels got death sentences and deported to Andaman cellular Jail.
The major tragedy of these anarchist activities are Mahatma Gandhi and his Indian National Congress never criticized the mass murder of Hindus. When Muslims killed West Bengal during Partition in 1947 he made hunger strike. But he had never rise a word against the mappila anarchists.
Sir Sankaran Nair wrote a strongly worded criticism of Gandhi and his support for Khilafat, he accused him being an anarchist.
In Kerala History the rebels labelled as freedom fighters.actually this is the act of spitting of the Normal Innocent Hindu people who got killed in the rebellion. Khilafat movent doesn’t have any relation to Indian freedom struggle, but Gandhi joined this movement together with Indian freedom struggle as act of minority appeasement.
This article is not against any particular community. According to me past is past, those  things which happened never regain it’s previous status  but the people must understand about the anarchism happened during the rebellion.
In my village there is a Sri Rama temple, the idol has lost one hand in this rebellion during that time khilafat rebels attacked this temple.
